JAMMU: In an effort to fight the rising menace of medication, Jammu police undertook intensive operations all through 2024, attaining important success of their mission to curb narco-crimes within the space.
A police spokesman on Sunday mentioned the division registered over 150 instances beneath the Narcotic Medicine and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and arrested over 240 individuals concerned in drug peddling.
“As many as 83 vehicles involved in these cases were also seized during this period,” he mentioned, including, “Around 153 FIRs were registered in heroin recovery cases alone and 246 people were arrested.”
Amongst these arrested, 19 hardcore drug peddlers had been booked beneath the stringent PIT NDPS Act, reflecting the division’s zero-tolerance strategy towards routine offenders.
