Archaeologists in Egypt have unveiled the millennia-old tombs of three senior statesmen, recognized by inscriptions left on the tombs.

The three websites within the metropolis of Luxor date to the New Kingdom period, Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities stated on social media, which ranged from about 1550 to 1070 B.C.

One of many tombs is for an individual known as “Amon-am-Ebt,” who labored in a temple or different sacred website. The tomb has a view of sacrificial objects and different relics, the ministry stated. The tomb features a small courtyard, an entrance, and a sq. corridor. That website was later reused, and one other corridor was constructed, the ministry stated. 

One other tomb is for an individual known as “Baki,” who was a supervisor at a close-by monastery. The tomb included a number of courtyards and an exhibition corridor. 

The third tomb, which included a small courtyard and its personal exhibition corridor, was for an individual recognized as “S,” who labored as an overseer at a close-by temple, and was additionally a mayor and author, the ministry stated.
