When Abstract Art Comes Together With Geometric Shapes – Fred Bugs Comes To Show!

Fred Bugs, as the name is interesting, also comes from the original name of an interesting particular artist, Federico Cabras.

Fred is an Italian abstract artist known the most in the US for his spontaneous figurative drawings. Fred Bugs’ works are a mix of abstract art with childlike emotions. He was born in 1997 in Bosa, a small village with 8,000 inhabitants in the province of Oristano in Sardinia.

As Fred says, art has been a massive part of his life ever since he started making drawings in his school. He did so partlydue to boredom and because he wasn’t much of an extroverted person with an edgy character.

His art helped him get distracted from those almost interminable hours of lessons between the desks of that technical institute he attended.

Some Significant Works Of Fred:

Fred Bugs’ works from the first decade of the 2000s to the current day are all characterized by continuous experimentation, imagination, and innovation. Throughout the years, Fred Bugs has also created many works, mainly on paper and cardboard, using pastels or mixed media. His famous series are the Buffo series, inspired by Keith Karing’s mural Tuttomondo.

Seeing Fred’s work, one can easily recognize that these are his. He has a particular style and way of representing his work that distinguishes his work from the work of others. His artistic creations show a vision made up of figures which seem to come out from an unknown place and also the ones that tell contradictions and emotionality of the society, especially the way he creates his famous little dragons as they walk in different scenarios.

His choice of colors and the way he uses the color red in light or the darker shades of yellow, green, and black in most of the Joan Miros art, having an addition of light or dark blue shows you when you are looking at his craft.

Popularity Achieved At A Young Age:

Despite all of the popularity achieved by Fred Bugs in recent years, thanks to his participation in a series of all exhibitions and international exhibitions held in Venice, which featured him with his work “don’t judge me.” And the other drawings using mixed media,

Fred has risen above to show his work to the public.

The European collecting public much more appreciates his style and unconventional works, which is way more popular with the international public than with his own Italian public. But still, he is very much appreciated in his homeland. He keeps on giving importance to some values like knowledge against the banality or a lack of artistic and human personality and emotivity. There have been numerous times when his work made it to the attention of the great masses. His abstract work brings together geometric art, surrealism, and infantile primitivism.

He has been drawing for ten years, making his work recognizable on all platforms. He knew it would be hard to recognize himself through his art as he belonged to a small far-off village, so he never stopped working.
