Qatar Airways has confirmed an order for 20
Boeing 777-9 plane.
The deal, which expands the service’s 777X order
e book to just about 100 airplanes, was finalized earlier this 12 months and
formally introduced at this week’s Farnborough Airshow in
England.
Qatar Airways helped launch the 777X
program and now has 60 Boeing 777-9 passenger planes on order and can be the inaugural launch buyer for the 777-8
Freighter, of which it has 34 on order.

“Qatar Airways is proud to announce an expansion
to the existing Boeing 777X aircraft order with an additional 20, totalling 94 Boeing 777X aircraft,” stated Qatar Airways Group Chief
Govt Officer, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer. “Keeping an eye on
the future, we continue to ensure that all Qatar Airways
passengers are only met with the best products and services
available in the industry.”
Primarily based on the Boeing 777 household and with
superior applied sciences from the 787 Dreamliner, the 777-9 is the most important in
the 777X household and can assist operators open new development alternatives
with capability for 426 passengers in a typical two-class
configuration and a variety of seven,295 nautical miles (13,510 km).
Flight testing for the 777-9 started earlier this
month.

Along with the 777X household, Qatar Airways has
twelve 787 Dreamliners and twenty 5 737 MAX plane on order
with Boeing.
