Climate Photographer, Winner: Sprites Dancing within the Darkish Evening by Wang Xin
The Royal Meteorological Society has introduced the 2024 winners of the Normal Chartered Climate Photographer of the Yr Awards, that includes breathtaking photographs of climate phenomena worldwide.
The highest prize went to Wang Xin from Shanghai for the {photograph} “Sprites Dancing in the Dark Night,” capturing uncommon pink sprites illuminating a stormy night time sky over Chongming District. Judges have been impressed by the picture’s intricate element and the rarity of a number of seen sprites, awarding Xin a £5,000 prize for this extraordinary atmospheric shot.
