AirAsia Malaysia (flight code AK) has confirmed
that it’s going to quickly launch two new routes between Malaysia and
China.
The airline will launch 4 flights per week
between Penang and Shenzhen on 28 October 2024, and thrice weekly
flights between Kota Kinabalu and Shantou on 16 November 2024.
Flights between Penang (PEN) and Shenzhen
(SZX) will function on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays,
while the Shenzhen – Penang flights will take off on Tuesdays,
Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

From Penang, flight AK1690 is scheduled to depart
at 22:45, arriving in Shenzhen at 02:35, the next day. From
Shenzhen, flight AK1691 is slated to depart at 03:40 and arrive in
Penang at
07:30.
Flights between Kota Kinabalu (BKI) and Shantou
(SWA) will function on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Flight AK1524 is timed to depart Kota Kinabalu at 11:40
and arrive in Shantou at
15:10. From Shantou, flight AK1525 is about to depart at 15:55,
arriving in Kota Kinabalu at 18:55.
With the addition of the 2 new routes outlined
above, AirAsia
will function a complete of 33 routes to/from China.
All Malaysians are eligible for visa-free entry to
China for vacationer visits of as much as 15 days till the tip of 2025.
