A viral publish on social media has sparked a heated debate over airplane etiquette and private boundaries after a passenger admitted to refusing to surrender an aisle seat when one other traveler requested it.

Posted within the “r/ AITAH” discussion board on Reddit, the notice was titled, “Not giving up my aisle seat on a 15hr flight for an older lady with mobility issues.”

“Just look the flight attendant in the eye. Smile politely.”
