On Monday, the Trump administration moved to open up hundreds of thousands of acres of protected Alaskan wildlife for the oil and fuel business to use. The motion comes after the business donated hundreds of thousands to Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential marketing campaign.
Inside Secretary and failed presidential candidate Doug Burgum stated the federal government would rescind a ban on drilling on the Nationwide Petroleum Reserve-Alaska. The territory of practically 23 million acres is the largest contiguous area of undisturbed public land in the US. Trump’s choice is a reversal from the Biden administration, which put in place laws in 2024 meant to guard the area now beneath assault from Trump.
