The year-old social media platform, owned by Meta, on Monday abruptly suspended an account displaying flight paths of the personal jet owned by Mark Zuckerberg, CEO and co-founder of Meta, together with a number of different accounts displaying related information for the personal jet use of Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Invoice Gates, Kim Kardashian, and Kylie Jenner. On Friday, an account monitoring Taylor Swift’s jet was suspended.

All the accounts had been maintained by Jack Sweeney, a university pupil who gained some public notoriety when Musk took over Twitter in 2022 and banned the identical sort of jet tracker accounts, together with the one Sweeney had monitoring Musk’s personal jet. Sweeney moved a lot his jet monitoring exercise to Threads the dispute with Musk.

Musk and Swift, though opposed politically, have each threatened Sweeney with lawsuits, referring to the jet accounts as “assassination coordinates” (Musk) and “stalking and harassing behavior” (Swift).

Sweeney’s accounts don’t present precisely the place the planes or their occupants journey. Neither Musk nor Swift have taken formal authorized motion towards him.
