Helen Lorain Potts, 92 of Bridgeport, West Virginia died on Friday April twenty fifth 2025 at United Hospital Heart following a quick sickness. She was born August 1, 1932 in Gould, West Virginia the daughter of the late Bonita M. Hyre.


 

She was proceeded in demise by her husband of 54 years Junior “JR” Potts, an awesome granddaughter Ryleigh Rayne, and three sisters.Metropolis Lady who Co-Owned Effectively-Identified Native Household Enterprise, Helen Lorain Potts, Passes Away at 92


 


She is survived by two sons John R. and spouse Melissa Potts of Clarksburg, Steve W. and spouse Marcy Potts of Bridgeport, and one daughter Denise E. and husband James Skinner of Misplaced Creek, 5 granddaughters April and husband Davy Crockett of Bridgeport who she made her residence with for the final 15 years, Alicia and accomplice Scott Skinner of Misplaced Creek, Amy and husband Scott Toothman of West Milford, Alexis Stutler of Misplaced Creek and Kayla and husband Ethan Pitzer of Bridgeport, and eight nice grandchildren Ethan, Mylee, Becklynn, Jolene, Zoey, Owen, Colson and Ayden who all affectionately known as her Maamaw and Maamaw Darlin. One sister Karen Smith of Ohio and one brother Ronald and spouse Wyn Bosley of Virginia, a number of nieces, nephews, and particular household and neighbors and her 4 trustworthy protecting fury companions Bleu, Redd, Fredrick and Duke.


 


She was beforehand employed years in the past at C & P Phone Firm as a telephone operator, a clerk at Backyard Contemporary and labored for 25 years earlier than retiring at Bridgeport Financial institution/WesBanco as Head Teller. She additionally co owned Potts Small Engine Restore. Though unable to attend she earned a full scholarship from West Virginia Wesleyan Faculty.


 


Helen was a member of the Bridgeport Church of Christ. After she retired she loved spending the summer season at her household camp on Sago Rd. in Buckhannon, West Virginia, planting flowers together with her favourite the African Violet and a backyard, feeding her favourite hen the Cardinal, buying, studying all completely different sorts of homicide thriller novels, watching fox Information, studying her Bible day by day, spending time together with her giant household and spoiling her grand and nice grandchildren as a lot as she may.
