Authorities in Paris have launched an investigation after a number of Jewish websites throughout the capital have been defaced with inexperienced paint.
The vandalism, found early Saturday morning, focused the Shoah Memorial, two synagogues and a Jewish restaurant within the metropolis’s historic Marais district, in addition to a 3rd synagogue within the twentieth arrondissement (district). An open can of paint was reportedly discovered close by, whereas French media mentioned surveillance footage from the Holocaust Memorial confirmed a person wearing black spraying paint in a single day.

The Paris prosecutor’s workplace confirmed it had opened a probe for “damage committed on the grounds of religion,” citing assaults on “three synagogues, a restaurant, and the Shoah Memorial” through the evening of Friday to Saturday.
Inside Minister Bruno Retailleau expressed his “immense disgust” relating to the acts of vandalism focusing on the Jewish neighborhood via a publish on X, previously Twitter.
The acts come forward of the Jewish vacation of Shavuot. France’s inside ministry had already referred to as for heightened safety round Jewish websites this weekend as a consequence of heightened world tensions.
No suspects have been arrested, and no group has claimed accountability.
