NEW DELHI: The Karnataka CID on Thursday filed a chargesheet towards former chief minister and BJP chief BS Yediyurappa, in reference to a POCSO case registered towards him.
In March this yr, the Sadashivanagar police had registered a case of molestation towards the BJP stalwart. Later, the Karnataka Director Common of Police Alok Mohan transferred the case to the CID.
The case was registered based mostly on a grievance by the mom of a 17-year-old lady who alleged that Yediyurappa molested her daughter throughout a gathering in February, at his residence in {Dollars} Colony.
Yediyurappa has denied the cost, and mentioned “people would teach a lesson to those indulging in conspiracies against me”.
The 54-year-old lady, who had leveled the fees towards Yediyurappa, died at a non-public hospital in Might, resulting from lung most cancers.
The CID questioned Yediyurappa for about 3 hours on June 17 in reference to the case.
The Karnataka Excessive Courtroom had earlier handed orders restraining the CID from arresting Yediyurappa within the case.
