“Rust” armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed launched from jail 13 months after involuntary manslaughter conviction

Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, the armorer who was engaged on the Western film “Rust” when the movie’s cinematographer, Halyna Hutchins, was killed in an on-set taking pictures in 2021, was launched from jail Friday, 13 months after her involuntary manslaughter conviction, New Mexico officers mentioned. 

In March 2024, Gutierrez-Reed was discovered responsible of involuntary manslaughter in reference to Hutchins’ loss of life, and sentenced to 18 months in jail the next month. On the time, she was acquitted of a second cost of proof tampering. 

The Parole Board of the State of New Mexico granted Gutierrez-Reed parole Friday, based on a parole certificates supplied to CBS Information.
