The NFL set a single-day high Monday by placing 106 players on the COVID-19 list. All 106 were due to positive tests, 96 of which came on Monday, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
Among the players who tested positive Monday were Patriots outside linebacker Matthew Judon, Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans and Titans wide receiver Julio Jones.
On Sunday, nearly 250 NFL players were on the COVID-19 list. Multiple teams, including the Jets, Texans and Ravens, played games with more than a dozen players on the list. However, unlike in Week 15 when the league pushed back three games by two days apiece due to the virus, no games in Week 16 were rescheduled because of outbreaks.
