Sir Ed Davey is to say his celebration will provide folks hope and can accuse the Conservatives of being “unfit for opposition”.

In his keynote speech to shut the Liberal Democrats’ convention in Brighton on Tuesday, Sir Ed will say hundreds of thousands of voters “put their trust in us” after the celebration gained 72 seats within the normal election.
