Supreme court docket justice says judges have to be ‘fiercely unbiased’

Supreme Court docket Justice Sonia Sotomayor advised college students at Georgetown College that judges must be “fiercely independent” in responding to rising challenges to the rule of regulation.

Talking at a discussion board Friday, Sotomayor mentioned judges must “ensure that the state is respectful” of each judicial independence and the rights protected by the Structure.
