Tesco has recalled its “melt in the middle” meat-free burgers resulting from a “burn risk”.
The product recall pertains to the 240g Tesco Plant Chef 2 Meat-Free Burgers with Melting Center.
The recall, issued on Friday, states: “Tesco are taking the precautionary step of recalling Tesco Plant Chef 2 Meat-Free Burgers with Melting Center as a result of the centre of the burgers could keep a excessive temperature as soon as cooked.
“This may result in a burn risk to customers.”
Shoppers have been urged to not eat the burgers and to return them to any Tesco retailer for a full refund.
The recall provides that “no receipt is required”.
