The original AeroPress was as close to a perfect coffee making device as you could—a palm-sized syringe that you can take anywhere that makes delicious coffee easily and is also easy to clean. The AeroPress XL is more of the same, literally. It’s the same device, just twice the size of everything—the plunger, chamber, cap, filter, and stirrer, and it also comes with a carafe. Admittedly, we are not exactly sure who the AeroPress XL is for. There are probably easier ways of making twice as much coffee, and pouring a half-liter of boiling water into a chamber balanced on top of a carafe seems like it could end poorly.
