Golf equipment company Titleist says it will no longer print the phrase “Let’s Go Brandon” on its customizable golf balls.
The company allowed the phrase in October, when the anti-Biden meme began gaining traction online and conservative media strategist Caleb Hull tweeted a picture of a customized Titleist golf ball with the phrase on it. But Hull tweeted last week a customer service email from Titleist stating the phrase is against its “terms and conditions.”
Customers who attempt to order balls imprinted with “Let’s Go Brandon” now get an error message pop up: “Sorry, one or more of the words you have chosen cannot be used. Please see our Terms and Conditions to learn more about what we will imprint.”

The terms and conditions state that Acushnet Company, Titleist’s manufacturer, can reject words or phrases that are “inconsistent with our company values or brand identity” or are “negative in nature, advocate violence or illegal activity, or are slurs, hateful, threatening, libelous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene or pornographic.”
While the phrase is banned, customers are still able to purchase personalized balls with “Let’s Go Brandon” on them. Since none of the three words are individually banned — like curse words are — that means customers can type one word on three different lines using the customization feature.
The price is the same, and as of Sunday afternoon, the workaround wasn’t triggering Titleist’s error message.
