President Donald Trump mentioned he wouldn’t rule out searching for a 3rd time period within the White Home, telling NBC Information in a telephone interview on Sunday that “there are methods” that might enable him to take action.

The twenty second Modification to the US Structure, enacted after Franklin D. Roosevelt was elected to a fourth time period in 1944, prohibits US presidents from serving greater than two phrases. The method for amending the Structure takes years.
“A lot of people want me to do it,” mentioned Trump, who can be 81 on the finish of his present time period. He declined to specify the strategies by which he might legally serve a 3rd time period. He was elected in 2016, defeated in 2020 by Joe Biden and reelected in 2024.
