Nike is displaying no signal of slowing down relating to turning out fashionable cameos. Including to a lineup that, from the primary half of 2016 alone, consists of Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci, Louis Vuitton’s Kim Jones and extra not too long ago Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing, the sporting big has simply introduced two recent tie-ups. The primary sees 17-time Grand Slam tennis champ Roger Federer, flip designer for Nike‘s Summer of Sport series. Dubbed NikeLab presents NikeCourt x RF: Unlimited Class, the collection consists of fitted tracksuits, trainers, t-shirts, shorts and polo shirts. Set to drop this week, just in time for Wimbledon, the classic sportswear pieces carry a five dot motif designed by Federer that references his upbringing as well as his RF logo. Meanwhile, Nike has put to work its own innovations such as the Flyknit trainer construction and laser perforations on a reworked N98 jacket. The second partnership currently being teased is with Danish menswear brand Soulland and takes on the world of skateboarding through the Nike SB arm and professional skater Eric Koston. Details of the seven piece range – known as FRI.day – are currently light on the ground. However, we know it will contain two trainer styles and be a mix of both experiential, style-driven, and no doubt unmistakably Scandinavian, pieces. The NikeCourt x RF collection will be available from Nike as of 30 June with prices starting at £82. Though, we’ll have to attend somewhat longer for the Soulland assortment, which drops 12 August.
