Virgin Australia has positioned a agency order with
Embraer for eight E190-E2 narrowbody plane, as half
of its fleet renewal plan that may see the E190-E2s change the
service’s ageing Fokker fleet.
Based mostly in Perth and operated by Virgin Australia
Regional Airways (VARA), the plane are powered by Pratt &
Whitney’s PW1900G engines and have a flying vary of round six
hours.
Deliveries are scheduled to start within the second half of 2025.
