The Washington Football Team’s home opener is less than two weeks away. And for those interested in going, it won’t be costing them an arm and a leg.

According to TickPick, a secondary ticket website, Washington‘s Sept. 12 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers at FedEx Field is the second-most affordable game of Week 1. The average price of a ticket is just $139 and carries a “get-in” price of $52. By comparison, in Baltimore, the Ravens’ opener against the Las Vegas Raiders has a get-in price of $438.

For Washington‘s opener, tickets purchased at midfield, according to TickPick, were sold for $551 per ticket.

This is the first season Washington will consistently have fans since 2019. The pandemic prevented the team from allowing crowds in at most games. Before the pandemic, Washington‘s anemic attendance numbers had been a popular subject as the team’s fan base appeared to have cratered in recent years. In 2019, Washington ranked 20th leaguewide in terms of attendance, which was an upgrade from 2018 (27th) though a far fall from earlier in the decade when they routinely ranked in the top five.

The team’s management has changed since then, with owner Dan Snyder hiring team president Jason Wright to replace fired Bruce Allen. Wright and his staff have talked about improving the fan experience, and the team has made changes to the gameday atmosphere — such as redoing the cramped parking lots and introducing a new co-ed cheerleading team.

Washington‘s record has also improved. Last season was the team’s first playoff appearance since 2015, after Washington won the NFC East with a 7-9 record.
