“We never expected such an incident to happen. No political party or official wanted this. They did their best, but there was an uncontrollable crowd,” he added.
Following the incident, CM Siddaramaiah ordered the arrest of representatives from Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), DNA occasion administration, and the Karnataka State Cricket Affiliation (KSCA) Administrative Committee. An FIR has been filed towards them on costs of legal negligence.
“The stampede during the RCB celebrations is saddening, and condolences were offered to the bereaved. Today’s (June 5) cabinet meeting included a serious discussion about this tragic incident. Decisions were made following the discussion,” Siddaramaiah said on Thursday.
