HOW THIS 15 YEAR OLD STARTED A MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR COMPANY

Yes, you read that title correctly. At the young age of 15 Mattias Jones is worth an estimated 700,000$ which was acquired via various successful business endeavors.

One of Mattias’s most prominent business ventures is the online store that goes by the name of “igotchu”. Igotchu runs off dropshipping, dropshipping is when  the seller does not handle the product directly but instead uses a third party to source and store products, and ship orders directly to customers without holding any inventory. Dropshipping was a very popular method of making money online until so many people started to do it that many people began to brush it under the rug as obsolete. Mattias proved the critics of dropshipping wrong in a big way. While Mattias was very late to the game his website profited nearly 16,000$ in its 1st month, according to our calculations, and became one of the fastest growing stores on shopify which is a feat most people can only dream of accomplishing. Since the launch of “igotchu” it has seen exponential growth with a 10-15% increase monthly in revenue. Another unique tactic used by Mattias to increase revenue to the “igotchu” store is through affiliate marketing, but with a twist that all businesses can learn from. Affiliate marketing is a marketing arrangement by which an online retailer pays commission to an external website for traffic or sales generated from its referrals. Affiliate marketing is used to promote companies as large as Amazon, Walmart and Target, but not in the same way as Mattias uses it to promote his. Typically a code is given out and when people use that code the promoter gets a small commission which typically ranges from 5-10% while the customer gets a discount which can range from 10% to 25%. Mattias’s affiliate marketing encourages more people to post about the product by taking a different approach overall. Essentially anybody can participate, even if you only have 100 followers, if you can get 4 other individuals to promote his products you receive the product for free. With this approach not only does it save far more money it also creates a domino effect which causes products to go viral with ease, because who doesn’t want free stuff? Mattias’s affiliate marketing tactics could be one of the leading factors as to how his business became so successful so quickly.

Many people are rightfully wondering, what exactly does a 15 year old kid do with all this money? Mattias uses the profits he makes from his main source of income to create more sources of income. Mattias is very active in the stock market as well as helping out with his uncle’s real estate business which currently manages 27 homes in the Saint Louis metropolitan area.

The public does not know much about Mattias’s personal life. But we do know about his parents since they are more in the public eye. Mattias’s parents own numerous businesses including Igotchu seasonings and many others. They are also on the board of SalesLoft, an up and coming cooperation. SalesLoft launched 10 years ago, today it is worth over 2.3 Billion dollars, which is in large part due to the Jones family. The Jones family has an estimated net worth of 18 Million dollars today.
